We must turn to the Lord

Repentance We must turn to the Lord and away from our sin, for we are totally dependent on Jesus Christ for our salvation. And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins; Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his  eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. “But thanks be to God

God alone made it possible for you to be in Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made Christ to be wisdom itself. He is the one who made us acceptable to God. He made us pure and holy, and he gave himself to purchase our freedom. 1 Corinthians 1:30 (NLT)
