We must pray without ceasing,
in every occurrence and employment of our lives;
that prayer which is rather a habit of lifting up the heart to God
as in a constant communication with him.

In the time of battle we don’t need to be fixated upon our thoughts, but the Scripture. As we renew our thoughts according to God’s word we are ready to fight the battle that is in front of us. Salvation is from the Lord, and God is well able to protect our heart as we keep our thoughts focused upon Him.
